Busy December!

How are you guys! I know that it's been a while since my last post but it doesn't mean that I'm on a hiatus. In fact, I'm just so busy updating my other blogs, attending parties, doing my social obligations and so on.

As much as I wanted to share what's happening to my life and my work, sometimes, I'm just too lazy to blog about it. Haha. Just kidding. I have so many blogs and I'm trying not to post duplicate entries, that's why.

Well, I think I just did when I posted about APAC Team's get-together at Thai Pan. And now it's the third time I'm talking about it! What a trending topic! It just means that I'm so happy and overwhelmed with that much-awaited reunion. Exag!

Though I didn't make it early, I still had fun meeting these people once again(I was the one in cyan stripes):

Too bad, I missed the food! Haha. Had to have separate orders but I did I enjoyed my green mango shake and chicken curry.

And yeah, as the title says, this is a busy month for me. More events to come, more gifts to shop, and more work to be done! Argh!

Disgusted with Smart Bro Once Again...

I blogged about how Smart Bro USB Plugin Sucks last November 9, 2011 and here we go again... My 5-day UNLISURF got expired before the actual expiry time. As a result, I had to load up my Smart Bro account and registered for another 5-day unlimited surfing.

Smart Bro USB Plugin Sucks!

Why is it, that everytime my unlimited browsing subscription is about to expire, the internet connection gets crazy? Countless times! It goes out just before my UNLI's expiry?! And no, don't tell me that my PC clock is not synchronized with your time! I keep adjusting it to be synched with your system yet you keep screwing up.

If I registered at 12 noon yesterday for a one day unlimited internet, shouldn't it expire at EXACTLY 12 noon today? Not 11:45 AM, nor 11:30AM. I am trying to maximize my time and working as fast as I can before my expected expiry time, but what the hell are you doing?!

Are you milking us by cutting our subscription? You're taking more than 15 minutes of my internet connection and it means a lot to my blogging life when I'm not at home!

I have my reasons why I am using Smart Bro USB plugin and I am paying in full to get registered, so please, fix your system. I won't rant about your Customer Service and Tech Support anymore because people already know how much they stink.

Entrecard - Phasing Out?

I'm not sure if it's only me or everyone who has Entrecard account but I can't login to the system for two days now. I keep getting this error message:

So, what do you think is happening?

Entrecard has helped me a lot before because of the free advertising service. All you have to do is drop EC and save up for future advertising. I have more EC to spend right now. Unfortunately, I can't browse through the listed blogs because of the system error. Though Entrecard is not as popular as it used to be, I think utilizing it can still drive traffic to your blogs.

Taking Blogging to the Next Level

After installing Shoutmix on this blog, I decided to add that widget to my other blogs, too.

And because blogging is addictive, I spent too much time changing themes and updating blog posts! The end result - a great accomplishment!

I was able to keep my blog content updated, improve themes, do some blog commenting and link building. I'm working on article and directory submission but I'm doing it in moderation.

Since I don't have a full-time day job, I have all the luxury of time to focus on blogging. And I have to say, blogging is for me. I love it! In blogging, there is no such thing as non-work related. Everything you do can improve the blogger in you!

June 2011 Total Lunar Eclipse

I was awake all evening while waiting for the lunar eclipse. (PAGASA said the eclipse will begin at 1:23 a.m. (Philippine time) and will end at 7:02 a.m.) But because I have lots of online tasks, I was not able to catch it on time. In fact, I didn't have the opportunity to see the moon outside. I peeked from the balcony at around 1AM (June 16, 2011 PH Time) but I couldn't find the moon. Probably it was on the opposite direction. I was thinking of going down but too afraid to walk alone...

As expected, Google provides me the information I want first thing in the morning! I was supposed to search for the total lunar eclipse images and today's Google animated logo made everything easier for me.

A total lunar eclipse took place on June 15, 2011. It was the first of two such eclipses in 2011. The second will occur on December 10, 2011.

This is a relatively rare central lunar eclipse where the center point of Earth's shadow passes across the Moon. The last time a lunar eclipse was closer to the center of the earth's shadow was on July 16, 2000. The next central total lunar eclipse will be on July 27, 2018.

The eclipse was visible rising over South America, western Africa, and Europe, and setting over eastern Asia. In western Asia, Australia and the Philippines, the lunar eclipse was visible just before sunrise

On June 14, 2011 PAGASA said that the moon will rise at 6:03 p.m. on June 15 and will set at 4:38 a.m. on June 16 so the eclipse will be visible in Manila. Unfortunately, the sky was cloudy during that time. Yup, as forecasted by PAGASA:

However, the weather bureau said a low pressure area off Puerto Princesa City, Palawan is expected to bring cloudy skies with rainshowers over most parts of the country which may block much if not most of the eclipse.

So which do you prefer from these 125X125 badges?

Because of it's standard format, I always prefer this badge size as compared to skycrapers or banners. Now, Adgitize launched the new affiliate image but I have to admit, it does not appeal to me that much... If I, as a publisher and advertiser, was not so happy about it, how could I get more referrals by using that badge? Of course I appreciate Adgitize' effort and I love it how they innovate things and improve processes but I wish they could be more professionally artistic. :) Or probably more resourceful.

There are actually lots of Adgitize members who are good in designing buttons and badges, why not hold a banner-making contest? One-month free advertising in the Adgitize Network would be a great reward.

A good banner must convey the message clearly. It must be easy to read and understand. Colors, texts and alignment must have harmonious relationships.

Most countries of the world as of present consider United States dollar as the prime variable when it comes to foreign exchange rates and when it comes to measuring their currency’s competitiveness against the current global market.

For the past many years, the Canadian dollar has been competitive with its US counterpart. Since they are just a border difference from the United States, most of their transactions are done with the United States, and they therefore do their utmost to keep it that way. However, the Canadian dollar has begun to decline as of late, unlike during those times of the Civil War wherein Canadian dollar increased as much as $1.45 versus the former. Canadian dollar to US dollar exchange rate changes from time to time.

The dynamics of a currency are influenced by numerous factors such as labor productivity of a country as a whole, the stability of the prices of primary commodities or goods, the percentage of investments coming from both outside and inside the country and even actions from direct government officials. However, unfortunate issues such as Quebec remaining as a portion of the Canadian Federation can potentially pull down its value. Furthermore, the majority of Asian countries have been greatly affected by global recession making them uncertain market for Canada. This means that exports can gradually slow down and will affect the way investors and businessmen see the development of the currency. Because of this unstable situation, businessmen are considering the thought of gradually pulling out their stocks and investments and shift it to the United States just to be on the safe side of the market.

As of present, Canadian dollar is still keeping a firm stance against United States dollar but with the current condition of the economy, it may not stay that way for long. And there are no signs that the situation will become better anytime soon. Same thing applies when it comes to euro to Canadian dollar.

We've noticed an increase in the amount of job scams recently. Scammers are pretending to be reputable Multinational Corporations, including Oil and Gas companies, and sending jobseekers an email confirming how they have been accepted for an interview overseas.

This would of course cost money to the jobseeker (air tickets, lodging, food etc.) but the letter states that the company is willing to ‘sponsor’ 100% of the jobseekers’ expenses. The catch? Jobseekers will have to pay a ‘refundable’ deposit of USD$100 upwards. Needless to say once that fee has been paid, the victim realizes that no flights or lodgings have been reserved and that the interview offer is false.

Transfer Domain from 1and1 to GoDaddy

Finally, dailylovedose.com is with GoDaddy. It used to be registered with 1and1.com but I decided to consolidate my domains in just one registrar. I I transfer it to GoDaddy, I also renewed the said domain.

There are 4 steps to transfer domain from other registrar to GoDaddy:

Thanks to Active Search Results, I was updated with the most recent Google Page Rank update. This blog remains PR4 and I'm happy about it. I'd rather see it like this than see it's PR drop. What makes me happier is that fact that most of my other blog's PR just increased. Make More Money Online has higher Page Rank now.

Compromising My Christmas Bonus

Due to time constraints, I was not able to update most of my blogs including this one. In fact, I forgot to post some of the funny yet disappointing happenings in my life...

For one, I did not spend my Christmas with my family. There has been a sudden change with my schedule without prior notice. Fine. They always have the final word so that's it.

Next, I forgot my ATM card PIN. I was supposed to withdraw my bonus that day and transfer it to my BPI account before the bank closes only to end up resetting my password after several withdrawal attempts. There you go - PIN RETRY LIMIT reached!

Just in time, I was able to request for PIN reset and withdraw over the counter before the bank closed. Whew! What a day! I thought the long queue won't just end and I have to spend my Christmas away from my family and without money!

Anyway, it's already 2011 and I really enjoyed my long weekend at Batangas. New Year vacation, I must say.
