I can't believe that my domain www.empoweredlinks.com will expire this coming November without even updating the site! The last time I posted was February 2011 and I haven't publish any new post since then. Should I hire a ghost writer to update it?

I was awake all evening while waiting for the lunar eclipse. (PAGASA said the eclipse will begin at 1:23 a.m. (Philippine time) and will end at 7:02 a.m.) But because I have lots of online tasks, I was not able to catch it on time. In fact, I didn't have the opportunity to see the moon outside. I peeked from the balcony at around 1AM (June 16, 2011 PH Time) but I couldn't find the moon. Probably it was on the opposite direction. I was thinking of going down but too afraid to walk alone...
As expected, Google provides me the information I want first thing in the morning! I was supposed to search for the total lunar eclipse images and today's Google animated logo made everything easier for me.
A total lunar eclipse took place on June 15, 2011. It was the first of two such eclipses in 2011. The second will occur on December 10, 2011.

However, the weather bureau said a low pressure area off Puerto Princesa City, Palawan is expected to bring cloudy skies with rainshowers over most parts of the country which may block much if not most of the eclipse.

It's good to know that antivirus these days offers a built in identity theft protection feature. I used to work in an IT industry as a Technical Support Engineer of antivirus software. So which do you prefer from these 125X125 badges?
Because of it's standard format, I always prefer this badge size as compared to skycrapers or banners. Now, Adgitize launched the new affiliate image but I have to admit, it does not appeal to me that much... If I, as a publisher and advertiser, was not so happy about it, how could I get more referrals by using that badge? Of course I appreciate Adgitize' effort and I love it how they innovate things and improve processes but I wish they could be more professionally artistic. :) Or probably more resourceful.
There are actually lots of Adgitize members who are good in designing buttons and badges, why not hold a banner-making contest? One-month free advertising in the Adgitize Network would be a great reward.
A good banner must convey the message clearly. It must be easy to read and understand. Colors, texts and alignment must have harmonious relationships.

Of those four badges above, the third one is obviously my favorite. CLUE: Left sidebar!

Most countries of the world as of present consider United States dollar as the prime variable when it comes to foreign exchange rates and when it comes to measuring their currency’s competitiveness against the current global market.
For the past many years, the Canadian dollar has been competitive with its US counterpart. Since they are just a border difference from the United States, most of their transactions are done with the United States, and they therefore do their utmost to keep it that way. However, the Canadian dollar has begun to decline as of late, unlike during those times of the Civil War wherein Canadian dollar increased as much as $1.45 versus the former. Canadian dollar to US dollar exchange rate changes from time to time.
The dynamics of a currency are influenced by numerous factors such as labor productivity of a country as a whole, the stability of the prices of primary commodities or goods, the percentage of investments coming from both outside and inside the country and even actions from direct government officials. However, unfortunate issues such as Quebec remaining as a portion of the Canadian Federation can potentially pull down its value. Furthermore, the majority of Asian countries have been greatly affected by global recession making them uncertain market for Canada. This means that exports can gradually slow down and will affect the way investors and businessmen see the development of the currency. Because of this unstable situation, businessmen are considering the thought of gradually pulling out their stocks and investments and shift it to the United States just to be on the safe side of the market.
As of present, Canadian dollar is still keeping a firm stance against United States dollar but with the current condition of the economy, it may not stay that way for long. And there are no signs that the situation will become better anytime soon. Same thing applies when it comes to euro to Canadian dollar.
