Very timely newsletter from Jobstreet! I was so busy searching for Singapore-based jobs when I received an email from them. It warns all jobseekers about job scams online. Here's an excerpt of the email:
We've noticed an increase in the amount of job scams recently. Scammers are pretending to be reputable Multinational Corporations, including Oil and Gas companies, and sending jobseekers an email confirming how they have been accepted for an interview overseas.

This would of course cost money to the jobseeker (air tickets, lodging, food etc.) but the letter states that the company is willing to ‘sponsor’ 100% of the jobseekers’ expenses. The catch? Jobseekers will have to pay a ‘refundable’ deposit of USD$100 upwards. Needless to say once that fee has been paid, the victim realizes that no flights or lodgings have been reserved and that the interview offer is false.

Sample of fishy letters from scammers can be found on the Jobstreet forum.

Thanks Ken and to Adgitize Team for responding promptly to my email!

I just visited my daily report and noticed that I did not receive credits for March 5's blog post though I actually posted a blog entry at Eldraliz: From Good to Great.

I appreciate their effort and good customer service.

Hi Liezl,

It looks like our feed readers visited your site after the points were calculated. Our feed readers will go out to all the Adgitize sites multiple times a day. As you can imagine they can't visit everyone's blog at the same time. Anyway, we have captured your article points and all is good.

I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Ken Brown

Pixmac is now open for photographers! If you want to earn extra bucks, create a Pixmac account and upload photos. You still have the ownership of the photos only that you will gain credits if someone buy or download it from Pixmac.

For every 50 credits gain, you can cash it out for $50!

Since I have lots of pics now taken by Nailo, I might upload some on my account.
